  1. Really try and focus on your form treatment/ right now the the surface has a bit of lumpyness going on. You also have to many hard edged and creases on something that's intending to be an organic subject. Form can be broken into both tertiary steps and frequency levels ( see notes: http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/593/fornfrequency.jpg/) I would focus my attention fist on finding solid reference to interpret from instead of copy. You will find its more worthwhile investment in your artistic growth to interpret your reference and apply that knowledge in your own designs. Right now the eyes are too large and have an arbitrary almond shape, the nose has hard edges that dont fall off in a subtle gradation...the chin is lumpy and blending into the jaw line in a strange way. The ears are also lumpy. Try practicing making confident stroke by just drawing straight lines with a pencil or pen.See how many time you can draw a straight line free handed until you feel confident, enough to start drawing free handed circles and then ellipses. Hope this helps.
